Today we look at the significance of what the Messiah—Jesus the Christ—did because His actions convey love’s essence. He laid down His life to pay for the sins of the world—to pay the penalty for your sins and mine. So what does it mean to say, “Jesus loves me?” What does that word “love” mean?

You were dead through your trespasses and uncircumcised of flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us. He has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross.
