In part three of our series, "Sermon on the Mount," Pastor Matt shares what Jesus taught about anger. We can't let anger poison our words and actions toward another person. Instead, we should settle differences quickly because of our deep reverence for Jesus. For this message, we read passages in Matthew 5, James 1 and Romans 1 and 2. Remember, God is kind, but he's not soft toward sin. It's his kindness that leads people to repentance.

In week two of our series, "The Sermon on the Mount," Pastor Matt breaks down what it means to be salt and light. Jesus taught us that we are the salt of the earth, the light of the world, and we are given a right way to live. 
Salt is a flavor. If Jesus is the king of your life, you are part of the kingdom of Heaven. You have a God-flavor. Don’t lose it. 

Light is a helpful servant. If Jesus is your king, you have a God-brightness. Don’t hide it but let him shine.

Scriptures we covered this week are: 2 Timothy 4: 1-5; Matthew 5:13-20; 2 Corinthians 2:14-16; and Matthew 22:35-40.

In week one of our new series, "The Sermon on the Mount," Pastor Matt speaks on Jesus introducing the kingdom of Heaven and how it belongs to those who obey his teaching. We read through Matthew 4:17 and Matthew 5:1-12 and Pastor Matt challenged us to pray about how we view the ourself, how we view the Lord, and how we view others.

In the final part of our 8-week series, Pastor Dustin shares how the Holy Spirit is the source of power and transformation in our lives and the Spirit's work produces Christlikeness. We study Paul's writings from Galatians 1 and 5 as we are reminded to walk in life by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Unity is difficult. So difficult that, from John 17, we know Jesus prayed for oneness in all believers and gave us the Holy Spirit to help us work it out. In part seven of our series "Holy Spirit," Pastor Matt defines what unity is according to God's word. Biblical unity is a work of the Holy Spirit uniting believers together in Christ Jesus.
