Hi there! Dev In Progress is back with an episode going into a few things I've spent time learning this week. A little bit on creativity backed by Twyla Tharp and Mark Manson, a little bit on communication à la Alan Alda, Chris Voss, and Chris Hadfield. And a lot a bit on Domain-Driven Design thanks to Eric Evans.
In this episode, I put on my developer goggles and delve a lot deeper into sub-concepts from Eric Evans' book, Domain-Driven Design. Specifically, we go into Layered Architecture (User Interface Layer, Application Layer, Domain Layer, Infrastructure Layer), and Model Element Patterns (Entities, Value Objects, Services). I view these as guidelines to help the everyday developer conceptualize and categorize and think in a way that is clean, loosely coupled, and encourages good programming (and naturally modeling) practices.
Join me on this anecdotal adventure processing and sharing the things I've learned in my journey to be a better developer and person. Hope you enjoy it!
