This story is a testimony for anyone out there who may be in a dark place with fragments of a dream still lingering in your heart, and a burning frustration of not knowing how you can make it happen, or the energy to get up and take a step towards it.

In this podcast series, 'Tales & Tea with Lakshmi Bee' I’ll dive deep into how I got myself out of some very dark places, pieced back the dreams in my heart, managed my own frustrations, the actions I took in bringing my dreams to reality and the necessary changes I had to make that gave me the strength and confidence to take the steps.

Welcome to our Lakshmi Bee Podcast! My name is Lakshmi and I am the co-owner, director and sustainable designer of Lakshmi Bee alongside my mother Susan. Together we are on a mission to help heal the planet and people through our sustainable creations and a purpose driven lifestyle.


In this podcast, I’ll share encouraging and empowering stories from my own personal journey and interviews with Industry change-makers from across the board, in overcoming obstacles, finding and living a life of purpose and forming your dreams and visions into reality. These are testimonies for anyone who is facing challenges in pursuing your own purpose, to remember that your life is important and you are here for a reason. This world needs your gifts and no matter what you may face today, there is always light and meaning on the other side.



About Lakshmi:
Lakshmi Gowda is the co-owner, director and sustainable designer of Lakshmi Bee alongside her mother Susan. Together they are on a mission to help heal the planet through their sustainable designs, creating new, unique and luxurious pieces of fashion, couture, art and home decor through the transformation of vintage items, fabric waste and sustainable fibres, while encouraging others to preserve the environment and live a purpose driven lifestyle.


Lakshmi is the eldest child of 5 in a multicultural family of Australian, South Indian, English and Western European origins with a generational history of fabric production, art, retail and realestate.
While establishing Lakshmi Bee, she worked across the board in fashion, art, realestate, sales, hospitality and events - winning many awards for her work. She has also hosted events and business panels, interviewing business moguls, political heads and celebrity personalities at some of the most prestigious award shows in Australia. 
Coming from humble beginnings, Lakshmi has always had a passion to see people set free and live a purpose filled life no matter where they come from, helping to recognise the importance of personal development and preserving our planet. She devotes her life to combating waste culture, creating new ways to upcycle discarded items into luxury products that can be reused. Taking part in community workshops, youth mentorship programs, philanthropy and sharing personal stories through the Lakshmi Bee Podcast and Youtube, she further encourages others to live consciously, overcome obstacles and thrive against all odds in pursuing a life of purpose and legacy.


Lakshmi believes that great change starts with ourselves by taking simple steps, to do what we can, by using what we already have. Through our faith and actions, we can create a better world for ourselves and future generations to come.
