In The Crease with Zach Fucale
Zach Fucale is a World Juniors and Memorial Cup champion! Originally drafted in the 2nd round of the 2013 NHL Draft by the Montréal Canadiens, Zach has went on to have a successful professional ice hockey career that includes stops in the NHL, AHL, ECHL, and the DEL. On top of this, Zach has competed for Team Canada at the Splenger Cup on multiple occasions, being a two time gold-medalist and selected to the All Star team. He is also a McCaig Elementary and Rosemere High School, Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board alumni.
Zach talks with Ascend Leadership alum Yanni about the qualities that make athletes better, creating positive and cohesive teams, and finding a personal system for success.

Acquiring The Ability To Lead - Playground Leadership
Student leaders learn how to communicate effectively, address rising and emerging problems, and enable play. The leaders work on teams and help others to participate.
Grade 5 and 6 students are invited to participate in leadership training and to take on responsibility for younger students in their school yard at recess and lunch times throughout the school year at participating Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board elementary schools in partnership with CSSS.
