Do you wish you could feel confident in your homeschool decisions? Are you concerned that you aren’t doing it right? Do you wish you could get answers to all your homeschooling questions? Are you struggling to balance all your roles in this season of life?

In this podcast, you will find tactical and realistic solutions to set you free from the concerns and stress of whether you are doing the right things.

My mission is to equip you in your calling to embrace and then thrive in your homeschool, motherhood, and homemaking.

If you’re ready to get out of survival mode, feel confident, and have peace in your heart and home--you’re in the right place!

Hi, I’m Leigh, a kingdom-minded wife and mom. I tried to duct tape my priorities together without the right focus for way too many years. I was busy chasing approval from others, trying to meet perceived external expectations, and flying by the seat of my pants as a homeschool mom.

I finally realized that if I was going to fully embrace the life I had, I needed to operate from a place of peace and joy. That’s when I planted my feet firmly where I was and began to create beauty, seek simplicity, and live intentionally. And I’m ready to share this with you!

If you are ready to love your life as a homeschool mom and to know for certainty that you are doing the right thing for your children--this podcast is for you!

Close up that lesson book, mama, let the kids go play, it’s time for you to thrive!

    257. I Am So Strict. How Do I Loosen Up With My Homeschooled Children?

    257. I Am So Strict. How Do I Loosen Up With My Homeschooled Children?

You swore that you would be the fun homeschool mom. But, then, the day in and day out struggles began and just won't let up. And you've caught yourself way too often saying and acting in a way that makes you wonder if you're pushing your kids away.
Your vision and goals for how you raise your children are admirable, but is the process of doing that sucking the joy {and maybe the life} out of you? Do you find yourself wondering if you're too strict?
I'll be the first to admit that I definitely fell into this category. My intentions were good, but my weariness got the best of me.
Let's find the balance between intentionality and teaching our children with the ability to loosen up a bit and enjoy these years too.
I promise that this is a no judgment zone, so listen in and get ready to break the cycle from here on out!

    256. Keeping Your Eyes On the Big Picture And End Goal of Homeschooling With Nicki Truesdell

In the homeschool world, it's so easy to get caught up in "shiny object syndrome." There is always something new and exciting. This could include curriculum, styles of homeschool, books, resources, and the list goes on and on.
And all of those things can have their place. But, what is more important is to stay focused on your long-range vision for these years of home educating your children.
Nicki Truesdell joins the podcast today to get the focus back on what really matters in homeschool. She is known on social media for sharing truth and encouragement that helps parents decide to homeschool, as well as to stay the course and continue homeschooling.
I know that you are going to love what Nicki has to say, so grab that load of laundry that needs to get folded and enjoy!

    254. If I Could Have A Complete Do Over Of Homeschool, What Would I Change? Lessons Learned Over 13 Years of Homeschooling

Homeschool parents jump into homeschooling with high hopes and expectations and an "ignorance is bliss" mentality. And there is nothing wrong with that. That was totally me.
But, along the way, as the years go by, we grow in knowledge and experience about how to home educate.
Today's episode is me pulling back the curtain and showing you some of the things that I wish I had done differently. Yes, our missteps grow us into the homeschool mom we need to be. But, these are the 10 things I wish someone had shared with me when I began researching homeschool over 13 years ago. If I had known about these things much earlier, I would have become a more confident and enjoyable homeschool mom sooner.
