People often asked us if, because of this fact, it was fun to fly the jet. Fun would not be the first word I would use to describe flying this plane.
Intense, maybe. Even cerebral. But there was one day in our Sled experience when we would have to say that it was pure fun to be the fastest guys out there, at least for a moment.
 

 

When I was 15 years old, I ran away from home because I was pissed off at my parents for a reason I cant remember.
I didnt have much money, so I decided to hop onto the skytrain(public transport train in British Columbia) and ride it as far as it would go.

I'm about 6'7'' so even when I'm just trying to be friendly (i.e. not farting on a stanger kid's head) and meeting a family member's or friend's kid for the first time, I've noticed they get very 'hide between their mother's legs' intimidated on sight if I'm not sitting down.
So it's not hard for me to silence/intimidate a child, especially when I'm trying to.

I spent over 45 minutes with this guy (we'll call him Mr. Smith) trying to get his TV set connected to the digital box properly so he could receive a picture.
No luck. He was getting clearly frustrated by the whole ordeal and started blaming me for not being able to do my job properly, how I was useless, etc.

When I was in college I lived with roommates in a 5-bedroom house just outside the city. The house was built before any of the surrounding neighborhood existed, and as such, it sat sideways on our street. The right side had a fancy porch and front door (it was a duplex, and that side of the house was owned by a guy who lived alone.

I have one moment that stands out above all the rest. I was waiting for someone to ask me this question. It's the reason I left a good job as a VIP Tourguide and moved to the Character Department.
