Shane Talks Shane M. White

On this day, Disney swung into the summer cinemas with their kid's flick, "Tarzan" - and Shane discusses this prequel to the movie "Frozen" before he moves on to talk about the disappointing mystery-thriller "The General's Daughter". Finally, he discusses a German Arthouse film called "Run Lola Run" and his enjoyment for the storytelling.

Does this sequel make you horny, baby? Because it sure is one that Shane likes. Shen discusses why he thinks this film is actually better than the original. The cast and the soundtrack are both looked at, as well as some of the gags and cameos that made this sequel really stand out as one of the best.

In what Shane calls "The Worst Week of 1999" he takes a look at two films that really don't help his argument for it being the best year in the history of cinema. First up is the absolutely terrible film "Instinct" where Shane takes a look at the plot of the book, and then the ridiculous premise of the film. Following that, he discusses a film that he actually enjoys: John Sayles' "Limbo" - and he discusses how the final frame of this film has bothered him for the past 25 years.

Shane returns to Shane Talks '99 to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the films released in 1999. Shane begins by looking at the Richard Curtis written rom-com "Notting Hill" and discusses his love for Curtis' writing. Things then shift to the very underrated sci-fi drama "The Thirteenth Floor" - which was critically and financially unsuccessful, so Shane digs into the reasons he didn't like it back then, but after a re-watch thinks he knows what went wrong in 1999.

Shane and Jason get together to chat about their home state of Indiana. The guys look at a long list of films and TV series that are set in the state of Indiana, then they run down a list of fictional characters and real-life entertainers from the Hoosier state. Finally, they talk about life in Indiana and various things they do for fun.

Shane and Jason are joined by Chris Meek for their fifth annual May the Fourth episode of the podcast. The group chats about Blue Milk, Batuu, Video Games, and the TV offerings from the past year. Shane pays tribute to his friend Jedi Master Samir Samoris, who recently became one with the force.
