714 episodes

Are you a fan of science fiction and fantasy short stories? Do you love getting lost in a good book or audio drama? Tall Tale TV has you covered. With modern fiction from around the world, professionally narrated just for you, Tall Tale TV is your premier destination for bite-size audiobook adventure.

My name is Chris Herron, a professional voice actor, and Every Monday and Friday I professionally narrate short stories from around the world. From epic fantasy to space opera, steampunk to urban sci-fi, and everything in between. Most episodes are stand-alone short stories, but I also mix in book excerpts and episodic novels, and novellas for a variety of content.

But beyond that, I believe in bringing authors and readers together, which is why each episode includes detailed information about the featured author. In many cases, you'll have the opportunity to connect with them and discover even more of their amazing work.

Tall Tale TV was born out of a personal experience. When I went temporarily blind for a year, I turned to audiobooks and audio drama as an escape. Once my sight was restored, I decided to pay it forward and become an audiobook narrator myself. This podcast is my gift back to the community.

Don't miss out on this exciting journey of discovery and imagination. Tune in to Tall Tale TV at http://www.TallTaleTV.com and let me take you on a journey you'll never forget.

"The Bone and the Bear" - Sci-Fi Short Story by Joseph Carrabis

The Bone and the Bear ep.714 Joseph Carrabis is boring and dull. He hopes his stories and novels aren't. So far, so good. At least his readers say so.

---- About Tall Tale TV ----
Hi there! My name is Chris Herron and I'm an audiobook narrator. In 2015, I suffered from poor Type 1 diabetes control which lead me to become legally blind for almost a year. The doctors didn't give me much hope, predicting an 80% chance that I would never see again. But I refused to give up and changed my lifestyle drastically. Through sheer willpower (and an amazing eye surgeon) I beat the odds and regained my vision.
During that difficult time, I couldn't read or write, which was devastating as they had always been a source of comfort for me since childhood. However, my wife took me to the local library where she read out the titles of audiobooks to me. I selected some of my favorite books, such as the Disc World series, Name of the Wind, Harry Potter, and more, and the audiobooks brought these stories to life in a way I had never experienced before. They helped me through the darkest period of my life and I fell in love with audiobooks.
Once I regained my vision, I decided to pursue a career as an audiobook narrator instead of a writer. That's why I created Tall Tale TV, to support aspiring authors in the writing communities that I had grown to love before my ordeal. My goal was to help them promote their work by providing a promotional audio short story that showcases their writing skills to readers. They say the strongest form of advertising is word of mouth, so I offer a platform for readers to share these videos and help spread the word about these talented writers.

"The Neglectful Watchmaker" - Funny Supernatural Short Story by E. Kimball

"The Neglectful Watchmaker" - Funny Supernatural Short Story by E. Kimball

The Neglectful Watchmaker ep.713 E. Kimball still has nothing to promote, except his other story published on Tall Tale TV which was wonderfully brought to life. He likes telling stories that make people laugh at the shared pain of the human experience. Just because we don't get God's joke, doesn't mean it isn't funny.

"Re-Runs" - SciFi Horror Short Story - by Evan A Davis

"Re-Runs" - SciFi Horror Short Story - by Evan A Davis

Re-Runs ep.709 Have you ever had one of those "Huh, I remember that differently" moments?
Evan Davis is an emerging author with an overactive imagination, which explains how he got here and why you're reading this – which is great. Fiction being his first love, he's written everything from bone-chilling horror to science fiction misadventures, bellyaching humor to thrilling fantasy, and every colorful dot in between.

He's gotten lost in Europe, been a 6' 4” street acrobat, has technically transported explosives internationally, has DJ'd a wedding or two, and now lives happily in Northern California scribbling about wonderful what-if's.

His work can be found with Third Flatiron Publishing, the NIGHTLIGHT podcast, Flame Tree Publishing, The NoSleep Podcast, Bards and Sages, Quill & Crow Publishing, and others; plus a blog he occasionally updates (thelightofday.blog).
