    Kathrin Lauckner, who is a German based Artist and Illustrator, has recently embarked upon a journey of finding her creative voice through illustrating children's books. She explains why she was so excited to illustrate the Mats Möwe series because of the environmental themes in the books, which resonated so near and dear to her heart. Also, we discuss her creative inspirations and how her background in graphic design albeit a different design language actually helps her on illustration projects. We touch on her childhood of growing up in East Germany before the fall of the wall and what influence that has had on her work. And we both share stories about our love for comics.
