This podcast includes the conversations made between two Melbourne (Naarm) based artists, Ashley Perry and Siying Zhou on the topics about artists and economy. It is made for developing a project for Hyphenated Biennial in 2021.
This podcast would like to acknowledge that we are in Kulin nation. It would like to pay respect to the Elders both past, present and emerging of the Boonwurrung and Wurundjeri peoples of the Kulin Nation and extend that respect to the country you are listening in from and to all Indigenous Peoples.

In this episode, Ash and Siying talk about how the art activities interfere in the economic system of the country. They discussed about BiShan project, an art project that took place in a village of China, and the artists who use the farming materials in their practices.

Education of Money & Economy
In this episode, Ash and Siying chat about the different kind of education they received at the school about money and economy when they were children. Siying grew up in the 80s' China, whereas, Ash was a kid from the 90's Australia. They also comment on their experiences of studying at the art school in adulthood. The song that they sung is Feed the Birds from Marry Poppin movie (1964).

Money and Currency

The value of artists
