    "There's beauty in the breakdown."

    "There's beauty in the breakdown."

In this episode I'm talking about how my breakdown turned out to be one of the best things that could ever happen to me. When I was trying to hold on to my life as it was back in 2017 more and more it crumbled. The tighter I held on the more things shattered around me. It wasn't until I threw my hands up and I just said: "forget it! God whatever you want to do I'm not going to fight you anymore!" It was almost like I turned the corner and that fast everything started rebuilding and making sense. In this episode I'll be talking about how holding on to stigma and doing what I was supposed to do broke me spiritually emotionally and mentally. It wasn't until I had to let go of those things where I became free of who I thought I was. I hope you guys enjoy.

My children are about 8 years apart and often I hear: "Why'd you wait so late to have a second child?" I didn't do it purpose lol. I referred to Biggie as my #rainbowbaby and for those who don't know a rainbow baby is a term for a child born to a family who have previously lost a child due to #miscarriage , #stillbirth or death during infancy. These subsequent pregnancies can bring strong feelings of #anxiety , guilt, and even fear but also joy, reflection, healing, and mixed emotions. The term "rainbow" is symbolic of the hope brought by the child after the storm of the previous loss. But the rainbow doesn't always come right after the storm in this instance. It is hard to know how many miscarriages take place because sometimes a miscarriage can happen before the mother knows she is pregnant. The estimated figure is that miscarriage happens in around 1 in 4 recognised pregnancies, with 85% of those happening in the first trimester (weeks 1 to 12). I'm going to give some contacts especially for those who may have passed judgment on a woman who has lost a child. Yes it's a taboo subject and no one wants to be made to feel guilty. After seeing how strong Christy Tegan has been to share her journey I realized this doesn't get talked about enough. Please join me as I share my perspective and my story. ❤️✌🏾🖖🏾

    "H3ydeeeeee! Where you been!?" 🤔🤨🤷🏾‍♀️

    "H3ydeeeeee! Where you been!?" 🤔🤨🤷🏾‍♀️

I took a little break but honestly I love doing! We've out grown our apartment lol. So I've just been planning our next move and I got to thinking that this isn't a bad thing. There was a time that I lost everything and had to start over. So now I've completed a chapter in my life that was put on hold for a few years. Now I'm excited 😁 about what's about to come. I'm going to try to give you guys some kind of encouragement and use my story of Life falling apart and being able to rebound remember whenever the ball drops it bounces back up. So be the ball lol. ❤️✌🏾🖖🏾

    "Beauty for ashes".

    "Beauty for ashes".

As much as I love talking about fun and silly things I feel it's my responsibility to also talk about important subjects. In my first podcast I said I'd be talking about taboo topics. Those topics can be uncomfortable but sometimes we need to address the elephant in the room. This episode was requested so I made it a point to do research so I could have an educated approach and not just "my unpopular opinion" . When someone is abused it affects their whole entire life in every aspect. We like to post memes about how men are very insensitive, closed off and unemotional but we don't talk about how young boys are told not to cry or how they are abused at an alarming rate from their caregivers. We see young women being overtly sexual or expressing their hurt and we call them bitter. We don't take notice to their pain. We see some being very loud and angry but so many times that anger is a mask hiding tears. In this episode we're going to deep dive into the subject of abuse. Hopefully we can start some much needed healing.

    Growing up black "ish" 🙋🏾‍♀️🤔

    Growing up black "ish" 🙋🏾‍♀️🤔

Have you ever heard someone says: "I can't be racist! I have a black friend!" I'm property that black friend 🙋🏾‍♀️🤣😂😆. I know I'm not alone either. Black people's history in America didn't exactly set most of us up for generational wealth. So our grandparents and parents found home ownership as a way to pass something down to their children. They loaded up the truck and move to The burbs. Suburbs that is lol Anybody else remember The Beverly hillbillies 🤷🏾‍♀️?

With that move birthed a whole generation of young black-ish children who were disconnected from their culture. We didn't fit in anywhere.

I'll be talking about this also how it took for me to have my own children to learn to love being a black woman. And how an ex helped me embrace that my black is beautiful 🤩💖. #podcast available on all platforms 🖖🏾✌🏾❤️ #amomhasnosleep #Spotify
