Fallout 4's Next-Gen Update Isn't Free for PS Plus Subscribers - IGN Daily Fix

Fallout 4's Next-Gen Update Isn't Free for PS Plus Subscribers - IGN Daily Fix

In today's Daily Fix: Fallout 4's much-anticipated next-gen (or rather, current-gen) update went live today, and though it was touted as a free upgrade, some users won't be able to download it without handing over some bottle caps. It seems like PlayStation 4 and 5 owners who downloaded the game when it was free via PS Plus can't download the update unless they pay for the game. Bethesda did mention that the upgrade was free to those who purchased the game, either physically or digitally, and technically PS Plus subscribers didn't outright pay for their copies. However, Game Pass subscribers aren't having the same issues, but that's likely because Microsoft owns Bethesda now, and Bethesda games are just included with Game Pass subscriptions. In other Fallout news, be wary of any Fallout: New Vegas advice on social media. Veteran players are having a little fun with newbies to the Wasteland by pointing them to spots in the world that new players just should not go to unless they're pretty high level. And finally, Stellar Blade's launch is almost upon us, and you can expect a New Game+ mode on day one. Update: 04/25 3:41pm ET: A Bethesda Softworks Community Manager posted on the official Bethesda Discord server that the company is still working to resolve the issue for PS Plus owners unable to access the free next-gen update.

GTA 5 Actors Reveal Cancelled Story DLC Plot Details - IGN Daily Fix

In today's Daily Fix: The main voice actors for Grand Theft Auto 5 have confirmed what we all hoped was true: there was story DLC planned for the game. According to the voices of Trevor, Michael, and Franklin, work had begun on the expansion and some of the dialogue was even recorded, but it was scrapped when GTA Online blew up, becoming a huge cash cow for Rockstar. In other news, the modding team behind Fallout London is a little annoyed with Bethesda. When news dropped that Fallout 4 was getting an official current-gen update, it put the team behind Fallout London in a tough spot. The much-hyped mod may run into compatibility issues with the new update, possibly making it unplayable, and the mod team would've at least loved a heads' up from Bethesda that the update was on the way. And finally, Microsoft is rolling out a new Xbox. No, it's not a pro model, it's a Series X with a limited edition X-Men comic on the panels.
