Angelhearts Diner was supposed to be closed for just two months at the end of 2023 during the renovation of the building they’re in, and we’re relieved to welcome them back after over six months.
It’s downtown Ithaca’s 100% vegan and 100% decadent diner, serving up seriously hearty diner food for breakfast and lunch.

After 50 years, a classic Cayuga Lake waterfront eatery is for sale
This week, the 14850 Dining Report has the news that Kelly's Dockside Kafe is for sale on the Cayuga Lake Inlet. Building and business are listed together for 1.1 million dollars. Owner Albert Kelly -- known as just Kelly -- has been at it for fifty years, and has expanded from the original small diner on the site since taking over in 1974. Before that, it was the Boulevard Diner.

New home for Asempe Kitchen at Press Bay Court in Downtown Ithaca
This week's 14850 Dining Report has the great news that after a couple of years of pop-ups and farmers market food stalls, Chef Kuukua is planning to open a brick and mortar restaurant for Asempe Kitchen, her African food business. Chef Kuukua got the keys to the new Press Bay Court location at the beginning of the month.
