Part of my morning routine

I recently discovered this podcast and I just LOVE it! It has become part of my morning routine. Now, everyday, before work, I have my breakfast while listening to stories I wouldn’t know if it wasn’t for LaVar. Thank you!! Ps: Have you considered Elena Garro’s short stories? She is just wonderful.

New Here and Loving It

I didn't grow up seeing LeVar Burton on TV, so I'm loving this podcast based pretty much exclusively on how great it is. On these times of isolation, a good story and a reflection is just what I need. I only just got here, but I have a story suggestion in case it hasn't been read here before - how about Ursula K. Le Guin's 'The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas'? I feel the message that is has is particularly germane to the current political situation in the US – it can make a lot of people reflect about the extent to which society selfishly ignores the suffering of others so long as they're not forced to change.
