The first part of the Apostles' Creed states:

I Believe in God, the Father almighty,

creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ,

his only Son, our Lord.

That the God we worship is the Creator of heaven and earth was a foundational tenant of the apostles of Jesus Christ.
