How do ancient religions hold up against current values? The disappointing answers to this question have caused many people to leave their traditions, and caused many more to just not want to get into religion at all.

In an effort to reconcile these values we hold, we talked to Brian about modern interpretations of ancient texts, how to integrate faith and LGBTQ issues, and religious pluralism.

In this convo we were able to dive deep into deconstruction and examine a lot of our old beliefs through a new lens. We explored:


Is God really punitive and wrathful?
How can faith drive social justice?
What role does trauma play in the way we view sin, and how do we heal from it?
