Day 3c – Questions and Answers Meditation Retreat Archive - Amaravati Buddhist Monastery
-
- Mental Health
This is a compilation of the retreat given by Ajahn Asoko on 7-9 July 2023 at Amaravati Retreat Centre, UK.
Questions are précised:
00:13 Q1 - Do you know what you are going to say at the start of a session?
12:34 Q2 - When there is pain or discomfort in meditation, my mind drops back into awareness-based knowing as it makes the pain more bearable. When the sensations are pleasant however I find it more difficult to connect to awareness. Do you have any advice?
15:56 Q3 - Once we [learn to] abide in awareness/consciousness, how can we find an appropriate action in the situation when it is required?
18:41 Q4 - I teach at a secondary school with kids having mental and emotional health issues. I’d like to offer mindfulness at lunch times. Do you have any suggestions for how to engage children?
