Penang Hokkien Podcast 庇能福建 John Ong and friends
-
- Comedy
-
The very first podcast entirely in Penang style Hokkien. A fun show for Penangites and all who understand the Chinese Hokkien language or 閩南語 (Min Nan). Funny and casual chats with no topic restrictions. We talk about things that you will only share with your closest friends. 這是播客里的首個檳城福建話節目。無所不談。話題精彩。大膽突破。又超搞笑。這个是全世界兮頭一个庇能福建播客。有講有俏,有啉有放尿。

Customer Reviews
Funny for Hokkien speakers
An often irreverent and often laugh out loud funny, this usually more than hour long podcast is well worth listening to, with the only prerequisite being that the listener must be able to understand and/or speak Malaysian Penang Hokkien, a very particular dialect of Hokkien only spoken in the northern region of Malaysia. Topics are extremely varied ranging from life in the old days to the ever popular ghost story series. However like most northerners from the state of Penang, most topics invariably revolve around or lead to discussions about food — a topic most northerners are extremely passionate about. Many episodes end with the moderator John having to take a poop!
Good learning platform for puah tang tsui!
I am learning to understand and speak Penang Hokkien and this is a perfect platform for me to invest my time! Keep up the good work and thank you very much!
