The Squadders made it their mission to discover all the weird and wonderful things you never thought to ask the kids you know.     This Story Time, things are coming down to the crunch! Has Ella the Detective bitten off more than she can chew or can she follow the crumbs and solve the crime in, ‘The Cookie Revolution’ written by Isabella M. What’s making the townsfolk turn into giant cookie monsters and can these freshly baked chocolate-chipped terrors be turned back to humans again?      Bring your vomit bag because in this Grown Ups In The Spotlight, Mr. Herbert tells us how chocolate covered cockroaches will be coming to a plate near you! And still on the insect theme, we find out why he’d like to be Ant Man in his spare time. We learned that weirdness totally gets Mr. Herbert’s vote over seriousness and why he’ll never be a soccer legend.           This is the final episode in our first series. It’s reassuring to know 99.9% of kids interviewed by The Pod Squad would choose saving the earth from an asteroid over watching television. Phew!! This episode we hear what inspiring solutions kids suggest for reducing pollution and rubbish in the ocean. They also debate whether animals are more intelligent than humans, what the best thing is about being on planet earth and they told us what animal language they’d most like to speak. This Story Time we’re flung into the future by Ally who wrote, ‘It Took Us Light Years’ - a startling and yet hopeful look at where planet earth and humankind might be heading. And in this Grown Ups In The Spotlight The Squadders interviewed their School Principal to find out what she does to help the planet. Hear who is winning in her backyard battle between the possums and the tomatoes. And take a listen to discover what nifty invention Mrs. Brandon has dreamt up to help people make better choices while they shop. Next episode is all about ‘Weirdness & Funny Stuff’. The Squadders hit the playground again to find out more about the kids at their school. They asked them things like; what they want to be when they grow up, what they dislike most about being kids and what makes them different from everyone else. The answers were zany, surprising and very interesting to say the least! They also learnt there are tabla, saxophone, percussion and guitar maestros amongst them AND an aspiring stunt motorcyclist too! Our Story Time author Charlotte wrote 'Back In The Stage Lights' especially for this Pod Squad. She dreamt up a thoughtful and imaginary tale about a young girl who uses comedy and good memories to deal with the loss of her dad. Take a listen! And in this Grown Ups In The Spotlight, The Squadders found out some surprising facts about one of their teachers. Can you guess what Miss Black’s favourite colour is and what word she thinks best describes her?
