Governance SHOULD be a continuous process

Governance SHOULD be a continuous process

In this episode, Henry and Christine discuss what seems to be a worrying trend in the way Ghana does governance. When one party becomes the ruling party and starts projects only to abandon them at the end of the party's rule, the next government refuses to finish these projects and instead goes on a finger-pointing blame game, accusing the previous government of corruption. Nothing gets done and projects are left to rot and disintegrate, therefore wasting taxpayers' money.

    #OCCUPYSAGLEMI: The Housing Project Controversy

    #OCCUPYSAGLEMI: The Housing Project Controversy

Henry is fired up about this episode! Ghanaians will remember that in 2012 a housing project was started by the NDC-led government. The Saglemi Housing Project near Accra was not completely finished and it was overshadowed by accusations. When the new NPP-led administration took over, it started a corruption investigation into the project because the costs did not match the original plan to build 5000 housing units. In the end, only 1500 were built. Almost 5 years on, the investigation is still not done, the housing units are languishing and people are still not allowed to move in. Listen in and tell us what you think about this issue!?

    The Environmental Colonisation of Africa

    The Environmental Colonisation of Africa

Has foreign colonisation really ended when former colonies gained their independence? It seems like despite our sovereignty and independence as an African nation, our resources are still being looted and exploited with little to no benefit to the local population but to great detriment to our environment. Listen in to hear a discussion about the big corp mining in Ghana that is polluting both water and soil in, mainly, the Ashanti Region.
