Welcome to the EIGHTH episode of 'Voices from Herriot Country', a new podcast about Yorkshire characters 50 years after the first 'James Herriot' book about life as a rural vet was published. Alf Wight (his real name) soon became a bestselling phenomenon. There were two films based on his books, as well as the popular BBC TV series, 'All Creatures Great and Small'. Who could ever forget that theme tune...... And now there's a new Channel 5 TV series to enjoy too!

In our eighth episode we meet The Wildlife Artist, Robert Fuller, who was born and bred in Yorkshire. The son of a beef farm manager, Robert's been painting animals and birds since he was a 'feral' child roaming around the countryside. Now a seasoned traveller in his late 40s, Robert's art sells across the UK and increasingly around the world. We met him at his rural studio/home, where he told us some fantastic animal tales from Yorkshire -- and far beyond. Hope you enjoy listening to The Wildlife Artist.
