80 years ago today. June 6th, 1944. Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy. From the cliffs at Pointe du Hoc to the beaches at Omaha to taking out the guns at Brecourt Manor, brave young men fought to gain a foothold in Europe to slay the Nazi dragon and secure freedom and liberty for themselves and future generations.
