Rio is keeping a close eye on the ladies, warning them not to cause any red flags for the FBI. Little do they know, Ruby is leaving a trail of flags after stealing a bundle of nail polish and now buying a car in cash for Sara’s organ donors. Beth uses her cash to pay off a hitman, who calls off the job, then re-schedules when he believes Beth is ready to have Rio dead. The Queens of Book Club are interviewing candidates to take Rio out. The only sniper qualified enough to get the job done is going to put the ladies into serious debt. Speaking of debt that can never be repaid, Rio incentivized Beth to keep producing counterfeit money by getting her fingerprints on the gun used to kill her ‘friend’. Rio is pushing Beth, Annie, and Ruby real good this week when he gives the ladies a ‘surprise job’ of smuggling Boomer to Canada. Along the way, they make a pit-stop to see Nana and find out she died of old age. After the ladies deliver Boomer to Rio, Annie makes sure Nana’s final wish is seen through, to be scattered at Lake Okoboji. Meanwhile, Stan is playing bad cop. He is able to talk his way out of getting caught with all the stolen goods from the private parties, while also gaining new clients to the club. And Dean has been busy around the house: blowing up air mattresses and putting together chairs.

Bookclub goes off script when Annie convinces JT to rob her gas station. The heroic delivery man intervenes and stops the crime, but in the scuffle he accidentally shoots Ruby! Annie might have found her calling as an EMT when she saves Ruby’s leg… and life. Other characters in this episode who can’t shoot a gun include Max. Max poses as Beth’s “ink guy”, confronting Rio in a plan to shoot him as revenge for killing Lucy. When he sees Rio, he chickens out. But not all is lost because Beth gave him Au Jus back. Let’s hope the kids don’t actually get a pet snake.

Beth, Annie, and Ruby are going to have to bury a few more secrets so they don’t end up digging their own graves. Sweet Lucy is confirmed dead when Beth and the ladies had to dig up her grave so they could open her iPhone and text her boyfriend. Now, the over-caring, attentive boyfriend is getting too close to finding out the truth so Beth ‘breaks up’ with him over text, trying to save his life from Rio. He ultimately believes the lie when he looks on Find my Friends and sees Lucy’s phone in Arizona. Annie goes terrible through therapists like the girls were going through graves. She finally ends up back with Josh Cohen. And Stan is contemplating becoming a cop again. Sarah says what we’re all thinking when she asks if Stan will arrest Ruby once he becomes a cop. Let’s hope this doesn’t break their marriage. This
