Emmaline Peterson | Disordered Eating Tendencies & Body Image in Athletes

In this week's episode I am joined by former University of Georgia swimmer, Emmaline Peterson. Emmaline takes us through her journey of becoming a star swimmer by the age of 14, swimming in college, and her new found love for spin cycling and culinary. She opens up about body image and disordered eating in aesthetic sports and how it affected her life. This is a tough subject to talk about and I thank Emmaline for having the courage to discuss, inspire, and support other individuals who may be struggling with disordered eating.

    Minisode #1: Feeling Overwhelmed?

    Minisode #1: Feeling Overwhelmed?

Welcome to the first minisode!!! I will be doing minisodes throughout the podcast to give listeners a quick pick me up before they start their day. In this minisode, I focus on how to tackle feelings of being overwhelmed about your job, schoolwork, family, friends, and your everyday to-do list. Life can become so crazy and sometimes we just need to take a minute to take a deep breath, brain dump, ask for help, remove distractions, accept a pass, and time block our schedule. Enjoy these 6 tips for when you are feeling like you can't do everything at once! Remember that you are human and it's okay to accept a pass or even just cry for a good 2 minutes so long as you pick yourself back up! I'm here for each of you. Much love, Caitlin Breanna
