"When my partner and I aren't producing content for our YouTube channel or television partner, I'm actually a full-time college professor and own a small creative firm. The goal for us to gain viewers, like anyone, but really to encourage storytelling, using food and cocktails as our medium. Our tagline is Dope Food + Strong Drinks = Great Stories

Fact: I've never met an oyster I didn't like, and my favorite way to improve is to be comfortable being uncomfortable. Like you, I love G&T's, and we made a cool version of a Gin drink here! 

I might be most proud of what we're doing now with our show (Besides marrying my wife). Career wise, I'm proud to be a pretty solid professor, after a career in advertising, where I was the COO of a respected digital agency, The Digital Hyve, and worked with a bunch of great creative people at a few different creative houses. 

Probably as a teacher, seeing my former students be happy and creative and make a little money is my favorite achievement."

This past week, we sat down with Grace Ling, founder of Design Buddies, the fastest-growing design-focused community, which has grown to over 8,000 active members in less than six months.  

Grace has spoken at dozens of events and on numerous podcasts and has recently received design awards and praise in media.  

We talked about her goal of creating a digital experience, and the purpose behind developing a social impact that helps designers, students, and community builders.  

On the business side, we discuss her use of quantitative and qualitative metrics in the strategic design process she used - a lot of user research, market research, and now she is launching new features, collecting metrics, and adopting / shifting!

Since July 2020, they have been growing at a rate of OVER 2,000 members per month! Now they are approaching 10k users and Grace is doing an incredible job nurturing the community!
