We have a lot of decisions to make. Some of them big. As Christians we don't just follow our hearts and do what feels right. Rather, we seek to discern "What is God's will?" We wish God would give us clear answers to this question in His Word. Today, a week ahead of a big decision for our church, we turn to a passage that clearly answers the question: What is the will of God?

When someone speaks to us, they typically expect a response of some sort. God speaks to us in His Word. How do we rightly respond? Today we continue in Luke 11 and hear what Jesus has to say about responding to God's Word.

When 2 things are pitted against one another, we often feel comfortable landing somewhere in the middle. But is that possible when it comes to spiritual things?
In today's passage, the spiritual power of God in Christ is pitted against the spiritual power of Satan. And Jesus makes it clear that there is no in-between, no neutral ground spiritually speaking.
Let's make it clear that we have joined with Jesus.

We pray for our Father's name to be hallowed and His kingdom to come as He provides for and protects His children who come to Him with shameless boldness and expectancy, trusting our Father to give us good gifts.

Most of us are busy. Maybe you love it or maybe you feel overwhelmed. How is our busyness affecting us? Are we busy doing the right things? Does Jesus have anything to say about busyness? Thankfully, He does.

You should be more helpful to people who are in need. That's a true statement. But is that the main point that Jesus is making when He tells one of His most famous parables? Today we cover what is often referred to as the "Parable of the Good Samaritan." By looking at it in its context, I think we'll get a clearer, deeper, more accurate sense of what Jesus was saying to a lawyer, what Luke was saying to His audience, and what God is saying to us today.
