Chris Griffiths: Love
Chris Griffiths: Love
God’s love for us is the greatest love story ever told.
Chris Griffiths of Jubilee Church Wirral looks at love in the context of what Jesus did, why he did it and what that means for us today.
Chris also looks at all the different types of love mentioned in Greek in the Bible – Eros (romantic, passionate love); Philia (intimate, authentic friendship); Erotoropia or ludus (playful, flirtatious love); Storge (unconditional, familial love); Philautia (compassionate self-love); Pragma (committed, companionate love); Agápe (empathetic, universal love).

Rick Robertson: Adoption
Rick Robertson: Adoption
Rick continues his series on God the Father by looking at what it means to be adopted into God’s family – to become a part of God’s family.
Paul talks about this in Galatians 3:26-4:7, Romans 8:12-17 and Ephesians 1:4-6.
In these letters, Paul is writing to churches in Galatia, Ephesus and Rome to correct some misunderstandings. The people in these churches have started to live by Old Testament rules and regulations.
Paul reminds them – and us – that although the Old Testament laws are good, Jesus has come to transform us from the inside out.

Keith Cooper: Push On
Visiting speaker Keith Cooper on how, in order to get fitter, you have to train – and how this is equally true in our walk with God.
To get spiritually fit, we have to Push On.
As Rick is formally recognised as an elder of Jubilee, Keith talks about how, as Paul warns Timothy in 1 Timothy 4: 1-5, elders carry a weighty responsibility.

Rick Robertson: Always a Father
Rick Robertson: Always a father
Rick begins a series on God the Father by looking at how God has always been, and always will be, a father to each of us.
Looking at John 1:1-14 and 1:18, he asks us to consider the following points:
God has always been a father
Jesus reveals the father
Jesus is the only way to the father
Rick also reminds us that Jesus is critical to anyone finding God. Without Jesus, God cannot be found.
