The poem Blue Roses was inspired after the recent school shooting in Uvalde Texas. Terrible tragedies like this have become an all too often occurrence in the United States. As a parent I am concerned that we are failing our children. It is our responsibility to secure their safe passage to adulthood. we must do better.

Some people say Father or Dad, others say Papa, Pops, Padre, Baa, Appa, Opa or Abba. In our house it is Baba. In today's special Father's Day episode we talk all about Godwill, our children's Baba.

All that my father asked from me was some of that unconditional love. My self-righteousness cost me a lot of good memories over the years. I could have forgiven and loved my father.
