I’m back guys! I took a long, necessary break because I was not mentally okay. And I’m finally not embarrassed to say that. Knowing what to do, but not having the tools or will to do it- SUCKS. I knew I would get to a point when I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. For me, that was July 27th. This is a more motivational piece to inspire you all to WANT to be your full, healthy, purpose-driven self. To let go of anything negative/all fences around you and this world. Ep. 10: STOP Lessening Yourself in Relationships
Have you ever found yourself trying to be more pleasing, easygoing, or present a “softer” version of yourself in an intimate relationship that is not true to who you are? Let’s talk about it. Also- to the artist that I mention later on, I am not saying a person is bad if they listen to them, but it’s really a forewarning to be careful what morals you are willing to let go of/not develop in the name of good entertainment/music/anything. And- if I meet my soulmate or change/alter my mind on this- I’m allowed to do that too.

Kayla Williams is a Black woman and senior Pop Studies and Education major at Rider University, Here, discusses her growth in self love, joy, and acceptance as a black woman and her viewpoint on interracial relationships over the years. In society, black women are often stigmatized if they choose to date outside of their race, instead of society listening to black women and our individual stories. Surprisingly, we shifted the conversation into education, discussing how school prepares black boys for prison, black girls to be hyper-sexualized, black people to not be listened to and to accept institutionalized racism.

In this episode, I focus on a particular coworker that felt because HE was attracted to ME, he had a right to MY time that I repeatedly rejected over and over again.
