Cyndi Parker is one of our newest professors at Pillar Seminary. Join us in welcoming and getting to know Cyndi as she describes her previous work in Israel and around the world, her podcast “Context Matters”, and her passion for the land of the Bible! Cyndi's Bio:
Cyndi lived in Jerusalem for five years teaching about the geographical, cultural, religious, and political context of the Bible. She continues to develop innovative educational trips to Israel, seeking to inspire students of all ages to see the land of the Bible as a valuable character in the text. Cyndi has authored several articles for the Lexham Geographical Commentary series, two Bible studies on women in the Bible, and a book titled Encountering Jesus in the Real World of the Gospels. She is currently working on a monograph related to the theology of place in the book of Deuteronomy. Cyndi is the creator of Narrative of Place, the host of the Context Matters podcast, and the Director of Education and Conversation at Resurrection Philadelphia.
