#11 Rhythms in Motherhood (Letter 1 of the Call and Response Segment‪)‬ Hagar's Daughters

    • Parenting

This jumpstarts a segment called “Call and Response” where I will share letters to my mothering self or invite guests to do such. Have you ever asked yourself the question “What would I say to my younger self/my older self?” or something of that nature? In this episode, listen to me talk to my younger mothering self who was mothering a newborn. You’ll hear ideas around creating routines and rhythms, but more importantly, you’ll hear another mama on the journey just trying to figure it out as she goes. Join in the solidarity of knowing you are not alone on that path of learning and growing.

Favorite Nuggets from the Show:

“I’m learning to live and lean into grace in the midst of the mess because [sic] I’m a hot mess, and God leans into grace with me.”

“You can choose to change at any moment in time...the minute that is coming doesn’t have to look like the same minute that just past.”

“You do not have to be a perfect mother...you’re never going to be perfect.”

“It gets better.”

“There is no mastery in parenthood.”

“When you know what season you're in you can act and operate accordingly.”
