On this show we look to dive into, deconstruct and devour stories. Be it a cultural icon, cult hit, classical novel or hit film we're here to find out more about our favorite narratives and figure out just what made them the icons they are.

Every month we take a look at a story, tale or icon or whatever from our cultural history of being human and break it down to some anecdotes and pop culture references. Not only giving you an over view the narrative itself but asking why it's had such an impact on our culture and society as it has!

Whilst also giving us an excuse to read a lot of books, watch a bunch of films and not feel like we wasted out lives.

So join us as we once again Chew the plot.

    Episode 13 - The Santa Clause - It's Bernard...

This week it's the time of festive films and thus brings forth the question of what makes a Christmas film? Is it the snow? The songs? The presence of Santa or simply the fact it's based in December?

So it's got to be good right? That's right this Month for the last in the series for this year we're looking at Tim Allens breakout movie The Santa Clause.
So join us as we discuss the inconsistency in story, The darker side of the throw away jokes and Tim Allens shady past as we bring in the end of the year.

Episode 10 - Guns Akimbo - When the S**t goes down you better be Glenjamin.

Guns Akimbo is an action comedy staring Daniel Radcliffe and Samara Weaving in which titular character Miles gets guns bolted to his hands...
That's basically all you need to know. This week Graham takes us on the wild ride of guns, gore and controversy surrounding the director as we discuss the meme potential, the outright wackyness of violence and the suprise you can have at the amount of people who are left handed. As we settle in to chew through Guns Akimbo.

    Episode 9 - I Kill Giants : Tik Tok it's school o'clock

    Episode 9 - I Kill Giants : Tik Tok it's school o'clock

this right we are covering the surprisingly divisive 2017 film and 2008 comic I Kill Giants. I say that as on initial impression I thought I knew what I was getting but turns out people also had that thought and disliked it for it but we'll get to more on that later!
I Kill Giants is a somewhat describable as coming of age and looks at child phycology, loss and the emotional roller coaster of fantasy imagination in a more direct way than in our previous texts which have done this such as Peter Pan which only eluded to the idea. I Kill Giants tells the story of Barbara Thorson a young girl and her challenge in fighting titans and as this is a story with a sudden right turn within it I am going to stipulate again spoilers and if you don't want to have the film or comic ruined you should go watch or read it first before we dive into it.
So settle in and enjoy this tale of fantasy and tragedy as we once again chew the plot.
