Episode 6 with Donia Baddou About Us

    • Personal Journals

Six months We’ve been on this journey together talking to some fascinating people and inspiring stories. This month I caught up with Donia Baddou - someone who I look up to and take inspiration from her personal journey and her career trajectory. We crossed paths a couple of times during our time working in the advertising industry. I met her when she was at Mobkoi where she started as Head of Sales and went up to head up the UK business and then also CCO for EMEA. Since then she has co-founded a new consultancy business and started a beautiful family.
The consultancy she has co-founded is called GrowthLab, which is a new generation of consultancy. It's a knowledge-based consultancy aiming at empowering business growth, with empathy, trust, and human values at its core.
She is a  Business Strategy expert with over 11 years of experience developing small and medium-sized businesses. Having worked for startups, scale-ups, and multinational corporations, her commercial and business strategy experience with startups, in particular, has been key in learning resilience, growth mindset, and the work ethics she needed to succeed in adversity - personally and professionally.
We talk about her humble beginnings, being a second-generation Moroccan immigrant,  growing up in Paris’ social housing, her experiences at university and work, being female, and from an ethnic minority background.
I hope you enjoy this episode - it was fascinating and really made me think and reflect some of the things men take for granted and don't have to pay attention to in the work environment as well as in general day to day life.
