The Death of God Pt. 1

The Death of God Pt. 1

Today, we delve into Mark 14 and reflect on God’s magnificent creation and His plan for humanity. God created everything—the ocean, plants, animals, sun, moon, and stars—and placed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden to walk with Him forever. However, their disobedience brought sin and death into the world. Despite this, God’s love for us remained steadfast, leading Him to send His only son, Jesus, to live among us, perfectly fulfill God’s law, and ultimately carry a cross to Calvary to restore what was broken.
As we journey through the Gospel of Mark, we witness Jesus’ arrest, trial, and crucifixion, understanding the immense sacrifice He made for our salvation. Jesus calls us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him, just as He obeyed the Father’s will unto death. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we are equipped to stand with Christ, live out His mission, and boldly proclaim the Gospel. Today, I challenge you to commit to this calling, knowing that through Christ, we have the strength to overcome any fear and fulfill God’s purpose for our lives.

    How to…Be a Father

    How to…Be a Father

Fathers, remember the overwhelming emotions you felt when your first child was born. Fear, joy, and uncertainty all at once. Those moments in the hospital are a powerful reminder of our responsibility. As we step into fatherhood, we need to turn to God's manual for guidance. It's not just about being a father in name, but embodying godly principles in our daily lives. Being like Jesus, being doers of the Word, and training our children in His ways are essential. Pray for them, protect them, provide for them, and spend meaningful time with them. Discipline them with love, without provoking anger, and show compassion, just as our Heavenly Father shows us.
Today, I urge you to embrace these tenets of godly fatherhood. Your actions and faith are the foundation on which your children build their understanding of God. Let them see Christ in you. As we strive to fulfill this divine calling, remember that God is merciful and offers us new beginnings. Let's commit to being the fathers our children need, leading them to a life of faith and righteousness.

    God's Story

    God's Story

Today, we explore the profound narrative of God's story, from the very beginning of creation to His unwavering commitment and boundless compassion. Genesis chapters 1, 2, and 3 reveal how God created the heavens and the earth, light and darkness, and all living creatures, culminating in mankind made in His image. Despite the fall of Adam and Eve, God's commitment to His creation remained steadfast. Ephesians 1:3-10 reminds us that we were chosen before the foundation of the world, destined for redemption through Jesus Christ, whose sacrifice offers us forgiveness and adoption as God's children.
In this message, we see God's relentless pursuit of a relationship with us, even after sin entered the world. His promise in Genesis 3:15 points to the ultimate redemption through Jesus Christ, who crushes the power of sin and death. Today, reflect on whether your story aligns with God's story. Accept His grace, trust in His salvation, and live out His purpose for your life. As Romans 10:9-10 assures us, confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in His resurrection brings us salvation. Let us embrace this incredible story of creation, commitment, and compassion, and share it with the world.

Join me on the Great Jungle Journey, a captivating exploration of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation! We begin with the majestic creation, where God crafted the heavens and the earth, filling it with wondrous creatures like Eden the parrot and Bliss the butterfly. God's creation was perfect until corruption entered through Adam and Eve's disobedience, bringing sin and separation from God. Despite humanity's continued rebellion, exemplified by the confusion at Babel, God’s plan for redemption remained steadfast.
Our journey leads us to the cross, where Jesus Christ, the sinless Savior, died to atone for our sins, offering salvation to all who believe. By admitting our sins, believing in Jesus's sacrifice, and receiving Him as Lord, we become children of God. This epic adventure concludes with the promise of consummation, where Christ will return to create a new heaven and earth, ending all suffering and death. Today, I invite you to respond to God’s call, embrace His love, and join this incredible journey of faith and salvation.

    It's OK to be Afraid

    It's OK to be Afraid

In Mark 14:32-42, we see Jesus face His darkest hour in the Garden of Gethsemane. On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus is overwhelmed with grief and distress, knowing the immense suffering He is about to endure. Despite His agony, Jesus models for us how to handle our own darkest moments. He falls to the ground in prayer, addressing God as "Abba, Father," and pleads for the cup of suffering to be taken away. Yet, He submits completely to God's will, saying, "Yet not what I will, but what You will."
This passage teaches us three critical lessons for our lives: to recognize God's sovereignty, to bring our deepest needs and fears to Him in prayer, and to submit to His will, trusting in His perfect plan. Just as Jesus did not let His grief paralyze Him, we too must take our troubles to God, knowing that He is faithful and will guide us through our darkest valleys. Today, we are reminded that in every trial, we have an invitation to lean on God's strength and wisdom, embracing His will for our ultimate good.
