Thanks for joining us for week 4 of Culture of the Kingdom! In this message, we explore the 6 areas of correction that Jesus presents in Matthew 5:17-28.



He begins each point with "you have heard it said... but I say..." These are often called the 6 Antithesis'. For context, the teachers of the law in Jesus' day were exalting their commentary over the Word of God. Jesus reorients us to TRUTH in this section of the sermon on the mount. Let us have ears to hear, and open hearts to start living this way.

Welcome to Week 1 of our new series: The Culture of the Kingdom with Billy Humphrey. For the next few months we will explore the Sermon on the Mount and learn about the culture of God's Kingdom.

Jesus gave three major teachings in the Gospels. They are: The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7), The Upper Room Discourse (John 13-17), and the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24-25, Luke 21, Mark 13).

The Sermon on the Mount was Jesus' first public sermon, and it is the longest of His sermons recorded in the Scriptures. We pray this message and overview of the Sermon on the Mount blesses you in your walk with Jesus.
