Dumpling master & queen of communication, Jali (owner and founder of @MoneyBag$Dumpling$), talks about her business model, the layout of market spaces, and the cultural differences that are present at these markets. She has been participating in the Chandler St. Winter Market since the beginning and has inspired me to stay in Buffalo and examine the 'marketscape' here.

    01. [traveling] The 'Yummo' Benefits of a Traveling Market

On the show this week, I gained some insight on a new type of market space; as well as learning about how artisan ice cream guru, Griffin Schultz, makes his yummy sweets!

The Queen City Traveling Market is something I've never seen or heard of before...this type of market is a traveling market, that takes place once a month at various locations within the Buffalo metropolitan area. My time studying this market space led to new connections...I'm honored to have had the creative Griffin Schultz (owner and creator of @YummoIceCreamBars) as the first guest on my show.

Aside from tasty and unique flavors, I'm so happy to have gained a deeper insight on Griffin's start up business; where he integrates a narrative on his company's food network and how he can claim the label for having "locally sourced" ice cream.

Not only do we talk about his company and how unique it is, but also focusing in on the inter-relationships he has experienced as a vendor, local food systems, pandemic alterations, and the overall aesthetic that the Queen City Traveling Market emanates.
