Temptation is not an event, it is a process.
Sin overcomes a person gradually. A little slack in not guarding your eyes, watching certain movies, reading certain books, listening to certain songs, walking with certain people, seeing certain images and these things strengthens your flesh and amplifies the voice of the flesh through its desires.
The flesh communicates its cravings through lies. The flesh would lie to you so it could fulfill its desires.
Never postpone repentance, it must be right here, right now and for the rest of your life.
Romans 13:13-14 NASB1995
[13] Let us behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy. [14] But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.
