Putting some of the industry's finest production talent under the spotlight, each episode invites a radio producer to tell us about their career and the radio industry as a whole, reflecting on how it’s changed over the decades and how it may change in the future.
Guests share their advice for aspiring producers, the key skills that are integral to the role, their biggest personal successes, the shows and podcasts they love and what they've learnt from making radio.
Re: Producer is made by Jenny Nelson and Mark Jeeves. We’ve enjoyed varied careers in the world of radio and are still fascinated by it, so we set out to make a series in honour of those all-too-often unsung individuals who have one of the most creative, varied, frustrating but ultimately rewarding jobs in media!

Re: Producer is a series celebrating the art of making radio. Putting some of the industry's finest production talent under the spotlight, each episode is a relaxed conversation with a former or current radio producer about their career and the industry as a whole.
The wonderful Pippa Taylor Tarrant joins us in this episode to talk about her role as Exec Producer of the Chris Moyles breakfast show on Radio X, telling us how she started out in radio and how she gradually worked her way up from Unit Assistant to Greg James' producer at BBC Radio 1, before making the move over to commercial radio. We find out why the producer's attitude and behaviour can set the pace of a show, why it's important to create the right atmosphere and how she adjusted to commercial radio - and we also hear about some very stressful show stunts!

We work at Scala Radio so we thought it'd be a good idea to chat to someone in our team at Bauer's classical music station. Lissie Day has been a Producer at Scala since 2020 and she tells us about the range of shows she's produced in that time, working with different types of presenters and getting nominated for Best Music Special at the 2023 ARIA Awards for a brilliant series called Access All Areas hosted by Dame Evelyn Glennie. Plus, her advice for aspiring producers and why she's a huge fan of Craig Charles!
