    Isoken returned home successfully after receiving three eggs from the Golden Woman. Her task was to boil them and serve them to her family. This was an accepted ritual of fertility prescribed by the tradition of Olokun the Sea goddess. Isoken thus takes the eggs home but attempts to deceive the Golden Woman by swapping one of the eggs.     Isoken meets with the Golden Woman, She tells her everything about her need to have a male child. The Golden Woman is a tall intimidating all knowing being. She immediately informs Isoken about her conditions for granting Isoken her wish. Isoken is expected to give up 5 precious treasures out of her daughter's 10 treasures. The goddess confirmed that Ese is a special child, and that She is standing in the way of Isoken getting another child. Isoken is terrified at the prospect of betraying her daughter. But She opts to go on with the goddesse's demands, She only needed assurance that Her daughter would be safe, She would do anything. Isoken is given three eggs to carry out a fertility ritual. Meanwhile, in current sequence, Nendi writes Isoken an email after his failed attempt to see her. It's 1st of October, Nigeria's Independence day from the British. Nendi moved on quickly to her dismay, he started a relationship with Faith. Nendi and Ese were no more!     Isoken after five years of marriage to Daniel had no child yet. Her father Epa Eguakun paid her a visit to put pressure on the couple to take drastic steps towards making a baby. He was determined to teach his daughter some culture, just so She could have a Baby to take after the family legacy. But Isoken would not have any of that. She chooses to visit a Prophet instead. And after a prophecy from Prophet Abraham, Isoken concieved of Ese and gave birth to her. But satisfaction would not last long, after five more years, Daniel started being agigitated for another child. So, against her best judgement, Isoken paid a visit to the Sea Goddess, the golden woman who visited men at the path where three foot paths meet. Within this story She introduces her childhood friend and sweetheart Nendi, the memories and experiences of two children growing up without fathers. Just as She is about to read out more of her mother's diary entries, a knock interrupts, Its a blast from the past. Nendi her old time friend is at the door, but Ese wont open the door.
