In this week’s episode, Molly hosts Love Yourself Without Like’s first ever roundtable discussion about body image. Eilat Berger, Avigail Levine, Sara Nagler, and Emma Schenker join Molly to open up about their body image experiences. They discuss how working on yourself inside-out and outside-in can lead to increased confidence, and whether body image issues are inevitable as girls enter womanhood. They consider the difference between short- and long-term confidence boosters and examine modesty and eating disorders. They discuss two values that social media and Judaism have in common: connecting people and sharing positivity. Rabbi Nachbar tackles the concept of “connection without communication” and gives advice on how to work on dismissiveness and discipline in a school setting. He gives insight about social media’s effects on the scholastic experience and how to practice self love through Judaism.
