Mind SuperPower Shian

Dr Caleb Ferguson is the current recipient of a 2019 Heart Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship. His program of research focuses on patient centred approaches to the management of atrial fibrillation, stroke prevention & digital health.

I first created a video conversation with a friend on her experience of care giving, looking after her mother until she passed. I am curious as to how she coped and what kind of support she had.

After that I thought it would be a good idea to approach The Carers Foundation in Queensland, to create a series of story showcasing carers of different age group.  This is my way of contribution.  I also realise this is personal for me as I have watched the effects and changes care giving have had on my sister, who looked after my father for many years.

Emma and Jasmine, sisters, are young carers who started giving care at the age of 10 years old.  This their story.
