Tom Jackson’s day job as a Registered Peer Specialist at Virginia’s Western State Hospital and his night job as an Organizer with the Virginia Recovery Advocacy Project work together to support and advocate for people with co-occurring conditions. His Civil Rights, Anti-War, and HIV/AIDS/LGBTQIA+ rights advocacy, his personal recovery since 1991, and his training in Relational Organizing engage and call others to action to fix our broken treatment system. He finds hope in the dedication and recovery of the clients he works with, in the recovery work he does, in the new PRS Hope Brokers he trains, and in motivating and supporting others to end the war on drugs and make Recovery the Epidemic.

I was in addiction for 34 years. My clean date is October 12, 2015. So I’ve been clean and sober for 7 1/2 years. Found my purpose in life my calling through my journey of recovery. I walked across America carrying the cross in 2017. Pedal a bicycle around America speaking at each state capital in each state I went to in 2019. Open RockHouse Ministries & Pgms. in Spring City Tennessee in 2019 has a 501 C3 nonprofit organization. Accredited by the Tennessee Department of corrections in 2021. Accredited by the Tennessee Department of behavioral health in 2022. We are currently being filmed by a major Netwerk and a doc you series that is to air in August of this year. We now have a 30 bed residential Faith Based program for men called Fresh Start. We have a 12 bed residential Faith Based program for women called Rise Up women’s recovery Center. RockHouse ministries and programs is the umbrella 501 C3 nonprofit organization. We help men and women out of jail out of prison get back up on their feet as a Transitional program. We also help everyone get Dan for full-time employment as a part of our work program. we also have a high school education program so everyone can get their high school diploma. And we are at maximum capacity for each facility with a waiting list. All employees are graduates of Rockhouse ministries in programs and have dedicated themselves to helping others. We only hire from within. my wife’s name is Marisol. She is the CEO and cofounder of Rockhouse. Marisol is also associate pastor. I am the president and cofounder and senior pastor of Rockhouse.
