Jamillah Parker has been a faithful follower of Christ since she was a young girl. She was active in all facets of ministry while growing up in her grandfather’s church. During her adult years, she served in various areas of the church that includes the worship team, children’s ministry, youth ministry, and creative arts leadership team.
Ms. Parker has been a NJ School Social Worker for over 15 years. She holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Montclair State University and a Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University. She has her NJ school supervisor and principal certifications. Ms. Parker firmly believes Social Emotional Learning should be at the foundation of every school district and she passionately provides professional development to school employees on this very topic. Ms. Parker also believes a part of her life’s mission is to facilitate the intentional pursuit of racial reconciliation within the Body of Christ as well as pursuing equity in education. Ms. Parker takes great pride and considers herself a champion in all things pertaining to self-care. She stresses the importance of self-care to women, particularly to moms. Each week, she offers self-care tips and resources to the faculty and staff at the school where she works. Recently, Ms. Parker has spoken at events on the topic of self-care.
