A treat

This is hard to categorise. Yes, it’s about gaming and it’s done by interviewing people. But its breadth is so vast. From magazine writers’ highs and lows to professors saving the experience of gaming to American pinball makers and Soviet arcade memories to game designers trying to be self sufficient on a farm, you never know what’s next. But it’s always good.
The conversations are good, relevant, funny. You hear something unfold you had no idea about. And with Robert Ashley’s great voice, always friendly and inquisitive, it’s just a smooth ride through those unknown places.
And I haven’t even mentioned the music, the sounds and the audio-trickery employed throughout each episode. It’s just the best to listen to.
So, is there a negative? Yep. There aren’t enough episodes.
Go listen, you’ll like it.

Unique and awesome

One of the best in the business. It's not talk radio, each episode is like a good magazine article. Ashley interviews a wide variety of people that have something to say about a subject and takes the best pieces of each interview and ties them together with narration and music from his band. It comes together perfectly each time. It's a miracle this guy doesn't charge for journalism this great.
