These things are possible by modifying the game files. Mods, as they are known, are very interesting, but how do they work, what types of mods there are? Can you imagine The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt without the freedom to roam freely in the world, finding all the hidden quests and encounters? Or can you imagine The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom as a linear game without any shrine or lightroot to discover? Neither do we as open-world mechanics are a core part of these games and the exploration is such a fun thing to do. Why is it then that we love open-world games so much?
