Bluegrass: American Roots Music of the Appalachia
Curtiss Plager, guest, and Todd Michael Willis discuss the roots, influences, and current state of bluegrass music. Curtiss is a Salesforce Certified Platform Developer working for Ten2Eleven Business Solutions, LLC. He is an active supporter of the American Diabetes Association. For the past several years he has served as Team Captain for a cycling team in the Gold Country Tour de Cure. Curtiss received his BA in Mathematics and Statistics from California State University, Sacramento. In the evenings, hecan be found slapping the upright bass or thumping on the electric for various bluegrass, rockabilly, country and rock bands.

Guitar: The Versatile Chameleon Of Instruments
My guest, Jim Garrison, and I will be discussing that most versatile, chameleon-like instrument: the guitar. Jim is a co-worker and database developer at Ten2Eleven. He is also an U.S. Army veteran who worked for various companies doing IT work, and was a bartender for nearly a decade before joining the T2E team. He holds a Bachelor of Science from CSU – Sacramento, where he was the President of the Management Information System Association (MISA) organization. Jim is currently the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for a Melodic Punk Rock band called "Straight Through". He practices and plays at various venues with three other members.

Oud: The Arabian King Of Instruments
Jeff Swatt, discusses his musical background and what led him to playing the musical instrument called by those in the Arab world, "the king of instruments". Jeff is a senior database and application developer, specializing in Salesforce, having implemented solutions to healthcare nonprofits, universities and large private companies. Jeff received his BS in Math and Computer Science, with a minor in Statistics, at Stanford University. When Jeff isn’t coding away at work, he moonlights as a guitar and oud player and plays in various musical projects spanning different genres, including bluegrass, folk and Middle-Eastern.
