Overlong, repetitious banter
This podcast has a nice idea behind it. Movies, often comedies, that deserve attention but never made the canon (or hardly). Sympathetic, but the treatment of this films is often tedious. Overlong looks into other movies from the same direction, all sorts of sidetracks and sometimes smug, presentst commentary. Joe makes wonderful video essays, in audio he’s overshadowed by the very vocal Ryan. As a double act this podcast misses the mark, although they sound like great guys to talk to in a bar. That’s not enough for a podcast. But I’m sure these guys can grow.
