Anna Kooiman: The Purposeful Transformation From Maiden To Mother DNA Of Purpose

    • Ondernemerschap

Welcome to another episode of the DNA Of Purpose Podcast.

In today's podcast, we are shifting the focus to the purpose of parenting. Why? Because becoming a parent is one of the most challenging transformations we go through in our adult lives, and for women, this transformation is a spiritual one, but let's face it. It's also a physical one. Any new mum will tell you that navigating the often vulnerable postpartum period is challenging, and it is during this period we often need to implement a very gentle approach to rebuilding who we are as a parent and as an individual in a purposeful way. This means we need to be purposeful about how we heal our bodies, our minds, and our spirits to adapt to a new sense of who we are in the world. An evolution of our DNA.

Now, it would be fair to assume that today's conversation is one for the ladies who have been lucky enough to conceive, and in many ways that is definitely the focus. That said, I know for some of you listening you may not have children. Regardless of who you are, there are chunks of gold here for everyone, with the most significant point being that childbirth is an epic transformation for a mother, but in many ways discovering our purpose is also a birthing process. The theme of rebuilding our sense of self when our lives change is one we can all connect with.

Today's guest is Anna Kooiman. Anna Kooiman is a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, prenatal and postnatal corrective exercise specialist, women's fitness specialist, and international TV host. She is also the founder of Strong Sexy Mammas who helps pre/post-pregnancy women get and stay fit. Strong Sexy Mammas (https://www.strongsexymammas.com/) is an online community that is growing by the day, bringing together new mums to help them navigate the physical, emotional and spiritual transformation into motherhood in a purposeful way.

Before we dive into today's conversation, a quick reminder that this is your last chance to register for the free DNA Of Purpose webinar on the 24th of Feb.
