    EP041 -How to Warm Up Cold Traffic with Ian Smith and Ian Luckett

    In this episode, Ian Luckett sat down with Ian Smith, owner of the Evolve Media Agency in the US. He helps people with their online sales funnel and getting those leads, as well as years of experience in using messenger bots. And today we are talking about how to warm up cold traffic, so sit back and enjoy the show!
    In this episode, we talked about how important it is to get your potential and existing clients to know, trust and like you – how social media and emails have been a part of this over the years – and how these channels especially emails had become over saturated these days that the open rates, and click rates have been on a constant decline.
    Ian also shares with us how messenger marketing is on the rise now and how businesses are slowly shifting into this channel, though he emphasises that entrepreneurs need not to ditch email marketing, and use messenger marketing alongside with it as well as other social media platforms, whichever your target is comfortable using.
    We discussed the advantages of using Facebook Messenger in marketing, as it allows for a more interactive and dynamic communication. There’s also less inundation over in messenger compared to emails.
     Ian also discussed the importance of giving FREE value to your potentials and existing clients. You can easily send pdf’s, videos, links, and even podcast episodes in messenger.
    He thinks the top thing that people normally do wrong when mapping out their customer journey, and that is trying to cut corners, trying to get that cold traffic to a customer too quickly.
    He also talked about what a customer journey looks like in terms of consultancy. He tackled two things:

He is a cold e-mail king, a lead generation specialist, a business consultant, and the founder of The Leads System. And today he will be sharing with us some very important tips and tricks on cold e-mail marketing and how to get your e-mails opened.
    Today, Ryan shares with us essential tips on e-mail marketing, including what cold e-mail marketing is, how it works, and how effective it is.
    We also talked about how important it is not to “sell” on your first e-mail, and to keep your sales copy short.
    Ryan also shared how the power of consistency helps – you need to be consistent in what you do because people are not always available to get back to you, so you need to try again if you do not get a feedback the first time as follow ups are vital in e-mail marketing.
    We also covered the importance of creating a quality list, getting the right people into your list.
    Ryan also shares how significant it is to do at least five e-mails when you are putting together your e-mail sequence as part of your content marketing.
    In this episode, we also tackled how important it is that you work with an e-mail system that suits your business, not all businesses are the same hence the need for a system that meets your business needs.
    Ryan also shares with us three top guiding tips in cold e-mail traffic:
    Have at least 5 e-mails in your e-mail sequence. But make each e-mail short. E-mail the right person. No matter how good your sequence is, it will be useless to the wrong person. Deliver and work on your subject line! We also discussed how important it is that you are aware of your analytics so that you know how your e-mails are performing. Was your e-mail even read?
    Ryan also shares the two basic types of subject lines. They are:

    Faisal explained that everything is energy, everything is vibrating at an energy level.
     
    We tackled one’s inner masculinity and femininity regardless of sex, what they are, and how each can affect your attitude and behaviour.


     
    He shared the key differences between the masculine and the feminine energies.


    They are:
    That masculine energy is a task-based, it just wants to get things done. The feminine energy is about being – it is about feeling and connecting. It is creative. Faisal talks that being able to understand both energies mean being able to work out which one of them is needed in any given situation.
     
    In this episode Faisal also shares the most common mistake that people commit while trying to improve their self-awareness, and that is OVERTHINKING.
     
    Faisal shared his top balanced feminine traits, and they are:
    Compassion Interception Flow Wisdom Intuition When you have insufficient feminine traits, it leads to smothering, very rigid, and overthinking. When you have too much of the feminine energy, you tend to become depressed, spacey, confusion, stagnant, and needy.
     
    A balanced masculine traits shows the following:
    Assertion Directional Methodical Thinking Action Giving Consciousness If your masculine energy is insufficient, you tend to become fearful, withdrawn, spineless, lost, hopeless, and stagnant. And if you have too much of the energy, you tend to lean towards domination, controlling, rigid mental constructs, anxiety, forcing, and distance.

    Let me read out something I wrote for my kids.
    Live a fearless life on your terms. Be bold, be brave. Live with an open heart where your voice has no fear, no regrets – only love. Your life needs no approval, just as your actions do not need to be approved by others. Move through life unapologetically and from the heart. Keep growing, be humble and stay grounded. Your true purpose in life is to be kind. This will bring you all you need, you want, and you desire to be.

    Today we are joined by Michael Greenberg, founder of Gentleman of Technology LLC – he is an entrepreneur, author, advisor, and strategist. And today we talk about tips and tricks on how to position yourself as an expert, as well as learn how to get your message across to your target market.
    We started this episode by tackling Authority Marketing; what it is, and how it helps your business.
    Michael also discussed the two fundamental rules in authority marketing, which are:
    Specialise – you cannot be an authority/expert in everything. Authority is relative! – The only person who needs to know that you are an authority in your field is the person buying from you. He also shared how many chooses a niche, puts out content, but does nothing else (promotion and no getting it in front of people). This is a big no-no.
    Michael also lists THREE important and powerful medium of content sharing which are:
    A Book A Podcast Key Note speech He also shared with us how he works with his customers and potentials, one of which is a top-down approach where he breaks down the problem into 4 sub categories, and breaking these sub categories into 3 to 6 specific questions that his clients ask. Breaking this approach down, it should form a pyramid where:
    Top                  : One thing you want to be known for. Second            : 4 Sub Categories Third               : 3 to 6 specific questions for each sub category We also talked about the Top 3 mistakes that entrepreneurs commit when creating their contents:
    Relativity – are you creating content that answers your market’s pain? Not Creating the Right Kind of Content – choosing the wrong medium Neglecting the Fact that People Buy from People – your customers and potentials need to know, like, and trust you. Lastly, Michael shares the top Do’s and Don’ts in Content Marketing. They are:
    Do:
    Live Q and A – direct interaction with your clients.
     
    Don’t:
                Mass messaging your contacts without doing qualifications.
